Preventive Conservation
MENIA RESTORATION & HERITAGE
Preventive Conservation is increasingly valued each day as it represents a systematic work method aimed at minimizing or preventing deterioration through the monitoring and control of deterioration risks that affect or may affect cultural heritage.
Cultural assets are exposed to climatic fluctuations and various risk factors found in their natural surroundings. Their stability largely depends on the control of these factors and risks.
Our work focuses on identifying these degradation factors and the alteration processes to which the works are subjected, through a thorough study of the work and its environment, assessing, analyzing, and taking real measurements over a determined period or with annual monitoring through devices placed on the work permanently for a year. These measurements will provide us with sufficient data to assess the degradation risks affecting the cultural asset, making a prognosis about which risks we need to control without directly intervening in the asset, but rather in its immediate surroundings.
Our proposals focus on:
- Projects of Preventive Conservation.
- Annual monitoring of the previous project.
