Workshop and Training

MENIA RESTORATION & HERITAGE

Menia Restauración & Patrimonio offers training courses and workshops for adults and children.

The courses for adults specialize in conservation, restoration, and learning decorative techniques applied to the recycling of furniture and objects. They are face-to-face courses and depending on the duration of the course, we have two options:

RESTORATION AND RECYCLING WORKSHOP: FUENGIROLA TOWN HALL

This course has a long duration, starting in September and ending in June. It is held at the Siglo XXI Building, a municipal workshop of the Culture Department of the Fuengirola Town Hall. Classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, both in the morning and afternoon.

In class, the student works on a real piece, which can be a piece of furniture, a painting, a sculpture, or any antique.

You will learn basic restoration techniques, traditional techniques for decorative finishes, upholstery, reintegrations and additions, and decorative techniques to modernize those furniture pieces that have become outdated but hold great sentimental value.

All techniques and methods in a unique space and course, taught by two teachers with degrees in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage.
